A decentralized video streaming platform where users curated playlists and watched content synchronously
Mimic was a web3 video streaming project where users curated playlists of videos and synchronously watched with other viewers. Users were able to add videos themselves or allow other viewers to add videos.
Sources included direct mp4 links, YouTube, Twitch, and others. Room admins could fully customise their channels.
Mimic supported videos from multiple sources including direct mp4 links, YouTube, Twitch, and other platforms.
Users could watch videos together in real-time, creating a shared viewing experience.
Users could tip creators using MetaMask, Kyber Network, Tezos, or by using their debit card through Wyre.
Mimic delivers a unique streaming experience unlike antiquated streaming platforms and gives users the opportunity to create their own 'TV channel'.

I want to thank Mimic's cofounder, William, and especially our lead developer, Gautam, who developed Mimic into a beautiful platform, for their hard work and for believing in Mimic. A special thanks goes out to Jerry for designing the final Pitch Deck, the killer promo vid, and all his support. Thank you to Encode Club, Thundercore, and everyone else who believed in us along the way!
